Product development is more than just creating a product. With a creative, out-of-the-box thinking and solution driven attitude, I support your product development from the first idea till production, from an holistic point of view.

Creating a product means more than just creating a nice shape which fullfills its functional requirements. During the development process the product "grows" to fit to a lot of other requirements in its environment. It needs to support your business, with its strategy and marketing, and fit into the product portfolio. A product cannot exist on its own and its development goes hand-in-hand and in parallel with the process development and industrialisation, where topics suchs as Design for Manufacturing, Design for Assembly and Design to Cost play major roles. From an even wider perspective, looking at the complete product lifecycle topics suchs as supply chain, service and end-of-life show up.

I am not your familiar specialist, but a generalist, bringing together the expert knowledge in a well balanced way, continuously keeping the big picture in mind. This is why, in february 2024,  to make my skills available to everyone, I started as freelance design engineer.
